- 2000 Jan-2002 Dec.: First Executive Director, following the transformation of the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Lusaka, Zambia. Was instrumental in the development of organisational and human resource management systems at NIPA to ensure its successful transition from a Government Department to a commercial and self-sustaining institution.
- 1998 July-1999 Dec.: Principal, NIPA, Lusaka, Zambia. Coordinated effective civil service training in liaison with clients (being the entire Public Service as well as part of the private sector)
- 1992 Feb.-1997 Dec.: Programme Manager, UNDP-GRZ Public Service Management Programme, Cabinet Office, Lusaka. Actively developed and supported the implementation of the 1993-1997 Public Service Reform Programme (PSRP). Provided logistical support and technical expertise for the practical implementation of the programme.
- 1987 Nov-1992 Jan.: Principal, ‘new’ NIPA, Lusaka, Zambia. First Principal following the upgrading of that post to Permanent Secretary Coordination of training, research and consultancy activities of the Institute, which called for possession of appropriate skills in the Chief Executive Officer.
- From 1974 to 1987: Occupied a range of positions from Lecturer, UNZA, Deputy Principal, NIPA and Senior Lecturer, National University of Lesotho, where various teaching and management skills were learned and fruitfully applied.
